Summary Market Policy Consultant / Advisor | Resource Management - We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Market Policy Consultant / Advisor to join our team. What your day would be like: You are responsible for:

Analyzing regulatory frameworks, market trends, and policy developments in the energy sector to inform our organization's strategies and decision-making processes.

Energy policy, Market Analysis, and Stakeholder Engagement.

Conducting in-depth analysis of wholesale energy market regulations, policies, and market dynamics.

Monitoring and tracking legislative and regulatory developments.

Developing and presenting information to leaders and executives.

Leading internal teams in evaluating market policy changes or other complex analysis.

Assess the potential impact of policy changes on the organization.

Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.

Preparing written reports, presentations, and briefing materials to communicate policy analysis.

Participating in industry conferences, workshops, and working groups.

Employees in Flex roles are required to reside in Arizona (or NM for Four Corners-based employees). Role types are subject to change based on business need.

Minimum Requirements Market Policy Consultant | Resource Management

BS/BA Degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, information technology, mathematics, physics or similar quantitative field

PLUS eight (8) years related business experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with demonstrated comparable knowledge and abilities.

Market Policy Advisor | Resource Management

BS/BA Degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, information technology, mathematics, physics or similar quantitative field

Plus ten (10) years related business experience in Energy operations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience with demonstrated comparable knowledge and abilities.

Additional Minimums Additional Minimums

Extensive knowledge of principles of economic unit commitment/dispatch, wholesale market operations and the functional and economic characteristics of Company power resources and the interconnected system is desired.

Strong understanding of wholesale energy market structures, including electricity markets, capacity markets, and ancillary services markets.

Familiarity with regulatory processes and institutions governing wholesale energy markets, such as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and regional transmission organizations (RTOs)/independent system operators (ISOs).

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and information.

Must be able to lead teams and work with stakeholders in evaluations and assist in implementation of solutions.

Ability to evaluate extremely complex industry issues and provide recommendations to leaders and management.

Extensive experience in the applied use of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Access, and Word is desired as required by the applicable position.

APS office based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from an APS facility.

Home based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from his/her home.
